Gingerbread Cake with Mascarpone Cream Cheese Frosting

Let's Bake a Gingerbread Cake!

Here are the easy steps...

Step 1: Make the Cake Batter. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Mix in egg, vanilla, and molasses.

Whisk dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Alternate adding this blend and buttermilk to the molasses mixture.

Step 2: Bake! Divide batter between 3 cake pans, and bake at 350° F for 20-24 minutes. Cool completely on a rack.

Step 3: Make the Mascarpone Cream Cheese Frosting. In a  large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, and mascarpone. Add  powdered sugar in 3 additions, then mix in  vanilla and pinch of salt.
