Here are the easy steps...

Step 1: Cook the Sugar. Heat sugar over medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon as the sugar forms  clumps and melts.

As it continues to cook, the sugar will go from grainy clumps to a smooth, brown-colored liquid.

Step 2: Add the Butter. Lower the heat to medium-low, and whisk the butter into the melted sugar.

Step 3: Add the Heavy Cream. Remove the pot from heat and whisk in heavy cream. Don't worry if it clumps a bit!
