Easy Skillet Irish Soda Bread


Irish Soda Bread is easy  to make! All you need are pantry staples and a skillet for a loaf that’s fluffy, crisp, and studded throughout with raisins.


Step 1: Start the Dough. Whisk together dry ingredients. Then cut in cold butter.

Step 2: Finish the Dough. Stir in raisins, egg, and buttermilk. Work to create a shaggy dough.

Step 3: Bake! Transfer dough to a skillet and bake the bread for 36-40 minutes at 450° F.

The baked loaf of Irish soda bread will be crisp on top, and  lightly golden brown. 

Brush  the top lightly with a little of butter. Slice and serve warm.(With more butter!)
