Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 3 cups limeade
  • 2 to 3 cups Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio
  • lime slices and mint, for garnish
  • lemon lime soda, for topping optional

Instructions

  • Make the Sangria: Muddle the blackberries and sugar in the bottom of your pitcher with the end of a wooden spoon, to release some of the juices. Add the brandy and limeade, and stir everything together. Let it sit for 15 minutes - this will allow the sugar to dissolve so you don't have a granular texture to your drink. (You can always take a spoonful to taste and make sure the sugar has dissolved).
Add 2-3 cups (depending on how strong you want the sangria to be) of Mezzacorona's Pinot Grigio. Stir, and add some fresh lime slices.
  • Serve + Store: Enjoy immediately, in chilled glasses or glasses filled with ice. Top with a splash of lemon lime soda (optional), and a sprig of mint. This is best on the first day but you can keep leftover sangria in the fridge (covered) for an extra day, if desired.
