Cranberry Rum Punch is the perfect drink to whip up for any celebration! All you need to make it are three ingredients – sprite, cranberry juice, and rum. Mix everything together in a punch bowl and watch this crowd-pleasing drink disappear.
If you’re hosting for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other occasion, mixing up a big bowl of punch is the way to go! Trust me – you don’t want to be fussing with mixing up individual cocktails while you have friends and family you want to spend time with.
How to Keep Punch Cold:
If you’re concerned about keeping the punch cold, I have a few tricks for you to use that won’t water it down!
- Ice Ring Mold – If you have a round mold, you can fill it with a mix of the cranberry juice and sprite, freeze it, and pop that into your punch just before serving. This will keep it chilled without watering down the flavors!
- Ice Cubes – If you don’t have a round mold, no need to run out and buy one. Simply fill a few ice cube trays with a mix of cranberry juice and sprite. Then, transfer these drink cubes to an ice bucket or something similar just before serving. Guests can then add a few of those to their drink to help keep it cold, without watering anything down.
How to Serve a Pretty Punch:
Garnish your punch bowl with a handful or two of fresh or frozen whole cranberries. This will add a beautiful flair to your punch, and will look especially nice along with a cranberry ice ring in your punch bowl. You could even add a few whole cranberries to your ring mold along with the juice and sprite for an extra fancy look.
Substitutions:
You can substitute part apple juice for part of the cranberry juice if you want a cran-apple punch. You can also use 7-Up, Ginger Ale, or Sprite for the soda. All are great options! And, you can leave the alcohol on the side if you need to, so guests can just add a splash to their own glass. I highly recommend using Vanilla Rum if you can find it (Blue Chair Bay Rum makes one), it’s SO smooth and has the best taste of any rum out there.
However you serve this punch up, your guests are sure to love it! I hope this finds a place at your holiday celebrations. Happy sipping!
