5-Minute Smoothie Bowl, you are the best. You’re the perfect fast breakfast, healthy snack, or even a refreshing summer treat!
Correction – you’re especially perfect as a refreshing summer treat!
Maybe you already know this, but I really like my breakfast smoothies! See these smoothie recipes for evidence of that. I also really like when I can make my breakfast in 5 minutes – see this yogurt parfait recipe for evidence of that!
I usually don’t want to spend a lot of time on breakfast, and I usually don’t have much time to spend making breakfast anyways.
That’s pretty much why I love this 5-minute smoothie bowl – it’s FAST.
This one is especially amazing because it’s made with only 6 ingredients (not counting water and ice cubes, of course!) We got some frozen blueberries and frozen raspberries in here, some frozen banana, a little water and ice, and a dollop of honey.
I topped mine off with some chia seeds and some kiwi and banana slices.
So good!! It also looks super fancy even though you only spent 5 minutes making it.
I’d call that a win!
You can totally customize this smoothie bowl to whatever you have on hand or to whatever your smoothie-preferences are! Any type of frozen fruit would be yummy!
I do recommend adding some frozen banana regardless of what other ingredients you use, because it helps to make the smoothie nice and creamy.
Have a favorite protein powder? Add that! Like to add flax seed to your smoothies? Go for it.
The point is – you can make this your own! And, if you really need to run out the door, this smoothie bowl can become a to-go breakfast in the blink of an eye!
Simply pour the smoothie into your travel cup instead of a bowl.
Kind of like my summer strawberry feta salad, I have this smoothie bowl on repeat all summer long! It’s cool, refreshing and easy – and doesn’t require an oven! Perfect way to beat the heat – and it’s kind of like eating a healthy bowl of ice cream.
Yum!
